Bruce Willis is set to return to the Die Hard series, with a 6th installment, that works as both a prequel and sequel. Len Wiseman(Underworld, Die Hard 4.0) is set to direct the next movie in the series. No word on if Jai Courtney, will return as Mclaines son in this one?.

Huge fan of the series! For years they've been talking about a prequel/sequel flick with McClane going to prison due to a cold case. I just hope this doesn't sit in development hell for too long. A Good Day to Die Hard obviously wasn't like the others, but it was great to watch the action in theaters on a wintery Saturday. They better bring back Zeus like the script calls for!!!

According to the above link I posted, the scripts done and Willis announced this on a U.S chat show recently. Which should be a positive sign for fans?.

I thought Bruce Willis's last film death wish was excellent. Probably his best film. .. A cross between diagnosis murder and the original Bronson film.

Glad to see him continuing with 80s normal style action movies .

A Good Day to Die Hard was a travesty. But, weirdly, I have faith in Len Wiseman. I actually like his Total Recall and Live Free or Die Hard is enjoyable.

I liked the idea that did the rounds a few years ago, with McClane returning to Nakatomi for the anniversary of the events of the first film and then, obviously, things go wrong. Cheesy perhaps but it would have been a nice way to bring McClane back to his roots.

The upcoming Die Hard prequel/sequel's official title is McClane, which is on the script, finished in July.  The movie will simultaneously follow "Bruce Willis as a 60-year-old McClane and a younger incarnation of McClane in his 20's... The sequel-prequel approach will feature Bruce Willis just as much as his younger incarnation."  News from - https://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/die-hard-6-title-mcclane-exclusive/  dated 3 September 2018.

From - http://www.maactioncinema.com/archives/4376   "Update: Die Hard 6 has officially been canceled.  After Disney acquired 21st Century Fox, they scrapped a number of projects and unfortunately the next adventure of John McClane is one of them.  Rumors are that Disney is planning a full-on reboot of the franchise with a younger John McClane. Stay tuned."  Source is listed as https://cityonfire.com/die-hard-6-to-be-set-in-japan-and-involves-the-nakatomi-corporation/?fbclid=IwAR1OaM1Z3Bl33YX-cALUexOOcSl9TMDBKw6-dMnZS3MIIAPurY3RsaySYkk

Thank God. But a full reboot, by Disney no less, will probably be even worse.
