Member AlbertV Posted July 17, 2018 Member Share Posted July 17, 2018 Back in February, before the full acquisition was made, Saban announced a partnership with Hasbro in terms of a new toy line for the 2019 season, ending its long partnership with Bandai America. Saban announced the name of the 26th season of the Power Rangers series, Power Rangers Beast Morphers. In an interesting note, the adaptation theme is going backwards with the series based on 2012's alternate timeline Super Sentai Series Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun. The computer virus theme had been used already in Disney's final Power Ranger season, 2009's Power Rangers RPM. With Saban Brands now officially done (they ceased operations 2 weeks ago), it looks like this will mark Hasbro's first Power Rangers series and an end to the Neo-Saban era (Power Rangers Samurai to the current season, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel)
