Member AlbertV Posted February 14, 2018 Member Share Posted February 14, 2018 (edited) The film is currently in some theaters and while it only made $57 million to date and was blasted by critics, The Hollywood Reporter has already announced a sequel is happening. Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson Jr. (son of Ice Cube) are returning alongside director Christian Gudenast, who is writing the script. Member DiP Posted February 6, 2023 Member Share Posted February 6, 2023 (edited) Good and very entertaining heist movie but it's incredibly predictable, especially when it takes so much inspiration from Michael Mann's works. The twists that they came up with was surprisingly effective but they weren't enough to wipe out the Heat-stamp that was printed all over the movie. Every character in action, their lives outside their jobs, their strong family bounds/friendship with other people, their reasons for doing what they are doing etc. Despite things, the movie still have engaging overall acting performances from everyone involved. And the shoot-out scenes were staged wonderfully, with alot of intensity, details, and realism that will have you in awe as they happen. Member Super Ninja Posted 2 hours ago Member Share Posted 2 hours ago Doesn't look like something that'll cover their loss, nothing in that trailer made me wanna watch it. First one was no more than decent, nothing begging for a sequel.
