Biography & Filmography Actor, Martial Artist and Bodybuilder Matthias Hues, was born on the 14th of February 1959, in Waltrop Germany. After leaving School, athlete Matthias moved to Paris, to work in the Hotel Management business. It was there that he gained an interest in the Gym business, with 1980's physical culture movement booming at the time. He moved back to Germany and opened a gym. He was so successful that he was able to open other health clubs in Germany. He later decided he was going to go to America and try and break into films there. Selling his health clubs, he headed to Venice Carlifornia, to the Mecca of bodybuilding Golds Gym. Too poor to pay the gyms joining fee's, he would run and leap over the gym turn-styles. It wasn’t long until he find his first movie role, when Jean Claude Van-Damme backed out of No Retreat No Surrender 2(1987). The producers rang up Golds Gym in hope of finding a replacement. Hues was lucky enough to be walking into the gym, when the call was being made. The role would lead to further work, and kickstarted his long career in movies. Studying Martial Arts with Master Hwang Jang Lee for the role, he would later attain a Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. At 6'5 and 250 pounds plus, he was certainly a natural for playing larger than life characters on screen. From roles in Dark Angel(1990) opposite fellow European actor Dolph Lundgren, to playing a Klingon General in Star Trek The Undiscovered Country(1991). A role that required an audition feautring a performance from the work of Shakespeare. He's even taken on comedy roles, playing a Lion Tamer in Big Top Pee-Wee(1988) and a dim-witted kid-napper in Alone In The Woods(1996). An veteran of action cinema, Hues managed to pave a car outeer, at time when there was a lot of compitition for action roles. Which would never have been possible without a lot of hard work and sacrifice. He continues to find regular movie work, with some of his recent pictures including Maximum Impact(2017) and Black Rose(2014). He currently working on the movie Savage Attack, with fellow Bodybuilder/Producer and close friend Alexander Nevsky. (Below) Matthias Hues continues to stay in shape. All those tough ab-workouts on Arthur Jones Nautlilus abdominal machine at Golds Gym, have clearly paid off, judging by the below picture. Sleeper: Deadly Recall - Written by and starring both Hues and actress Leslie Carleton. The movie has only just been announced, and there are no other cast/crew on-board yet. Quote IMDB Synopsis- Sarah, an American Sleeper agent is sent to Europe to retrieve officially lost CIA Intel. Unbeknownst to Sarah she has been active in Europe on and off since the cold war. Each time she is sent back under hypnosis and with different identities, of which she later has no recollection. The current mission is a one way ticket as CIA field agent Howard Stone intends to rid the CIA of all Sleeper agents, as in some cases the memory is starting to break through and national security is at risk. Alexander Krauss, a burned out CIA agent at the end of his career is assigned to bring Sarah to Europe for her last mission, posing as her fake husband. Once activated Sarah becomes a deadly killing machine and does not recognize Alexander Krauss, who turns rogue once he realizes she has been set up. She is ordered to kill him as he desperately tries to save her from an invariable death sentence upheld by the CIA. The Misfits - Very little known about this one other than the plot/story. How to Make A Deal with the Devil - A change of pace for Mr Hues, with an appearance in this Shannon Doherty comedy. The movie is completed, and should be released sometime this year. There's currently no plot/story detials either for this one. Eden - Actress Anna Herr, who plays the title character Eden, is the only other actor listed for this project at the moment. The film is currently in post production. Angel Of Death - Here the big German will be starring alongside Armand Assante. Mattias Hue is slated to be playing Hugh De Monfort, in a supporting role. The Rogue - Military flick thats not set for release until next year. The church also runs a bi-weekly feed the neighbors food service as well as hunger relief and nutrition here in the US. Runestone - Viking adventure, with Kevin Sorbo and Conan Stevens among the cast. Your metabolism slows down as you age, and you dont burn of fat the same. The Bali climate must also be warmer than Carlifornia and Golds Gym.
