Does anyone know a Japanese-USA co production movie in the late 70's called "Proof Of the man" (Don't know the Japanese title).

It starred George Kennedy and has a popular song "Mama do you remember?" sung by Joe Yamanaka.

I know this is not a Samurai movie, but since a lot of Japanese movies experts are here, does anyone know about this movie and the availability of the DVD?

Thanks alot.

Let us know if you come accross a DVD.

Been looking for this myself.

I have the pretty cool soundtrack by Yuji Ohno (who's most famous for his work on the classic anime Lupin III).

You read Japanese? I couldn't tell anything about the movie from the image I saw when I clicked on that link.

FYI - There is a 2004 TV series of the same name that is available on DVD or VCD.

I searched it based on the Japanese title you gave me and the director's name.

It available at CDJapan.

And yes, I also found the TV series, starred Yutaka Takenouchi. I think I can find the TV series easily here.
