Born on March 29, 1967 in Switzerland, Mickey Hardt is a 2nd-dan in Taekwondo, having trained since the age of 8 while living in Luxembourg, and also is skilled in Savate. While he is primarily known in Germany as a dramatic actor, he was discovered by Donnie Yen, who cast him in the 1999-2000 TV series Der Puma: Kampfer mit Herz (aka Codename Puma) in the lead role of JoshEngel, a martial arts instructor who joins forces with local detective Jackie Winter (Susanne Hoss) on various cases where Josh must use his martial arts skills. Yen was the action director of the series. This lead Hardt to play the vampire villain Duke Dekotes in The Twins Effect, which Yen served as co-director and action director.

Hardt attempted Hollywood with the Max Havoc films, in which he played former kickboxer turned sports photographer Havoc. The first film, Curse of the Dragon, caused major controversy as the government of Guam, where the film was shot, sued the film's producer after a loan request of $800,000 was never paid back. The court case in detail can be found HERE. Laing and the GEDCA settled on a payment of $350,000. Wisely, the second film, Ring of Fire, was shot in Canada, but the fights were barely seen due to bad lighting. However, the failure of both films did not stop Hardt as he returned to Europe to showcase her versatility as an actor as well as live another passion of music.

On occasion, Hardt still does martial arts seminars as well
