ETD being a close second?, until the MPAA cut some of the violence & topless nudity from it?.
Member DragonClaws Posted August 2 Author Member Share Posted August 2 Quick question does anyone know who came up with the saw in the head idea, during the making of The Big Boss (1971)?. Was it in the rough plot outline/script?, or did they come up with idea while filming the fight scene?. The bodies in ice, along with a small taste of Boss Mi's white contraband send Cheng Chiu on over the edge. Is there more to sequence where he plants the saw blade into one of Mi’s hired killers?.
Member DragonClaws Posted August 16 Author Member Share Posted August 16 (edited) There's still different opinions in regards Hans underground pool in the underground caverns featured in Enter the Dragon. Not his bathtub in the mirrored room, which may have appeared in another cut sequence?. Was the pit filled with seawater?, or was it acid?. In a video shared by U.K Bruce Lee fan & collector Stripey Rambles on his YouTube channel, he mentioned there some difference between soundtracks during Williams (Jim Kelly) sadistic send off. In some Asian prints you can hear bubbling sounds over the reaction shots of Han and Roper. Which doesn’t appear in any of the international releases. My Dad who caught the film multiple times in the 70's, always said they’ve shortened that scene on the home video releases and T.V screenings. He's not someone who really into missing movie scenes, and he doesn’t even go on the internet. But he always mentions it when we watch it together, along with the shot of the cop getting attacked by dog earlier on in the movie. Sadly I can’t recall which video Stripey mentioned this in?, but it was from a video he shared online this year. I also can’t recall if he was referring to the Cantonese or the Hong Kong soundtrack for the film?. Member DragonClaws Posted Thursday at 06:33 PM Author Member Share Posted Thursday at 06:33 PM Did Golden Harvest film exclusive footage for a Way of The Dragon teaser trailer?. Like they did with Bob Baker & Bruce Lee in Fist of Fury. Or maybe they just used the Winston Cigarette commercial for promoting the film on HK T.V?. Did they ever shoot a similar trailer for The Big Boss?, maybe using the material they filmed at Wader Studios with Han Ying Chieh & Bruce Lee?.
