Member MattC Posted November 26, 2017 Member Share Posted November 26, 2017 Been watching the kung fu marathon this weekend. I had noticed in the past that the channel usually showed a couple of classics a week. It seemed like it was a certain day of the week. Anyone know if they still do this? Member Shaolivevil Posted November 26, 2017 Member Share Posted November 26, 2017 Yes. On Tuesdays starting at 6 pm EST, the El Rey Network shows kung fu movies, mostly Shaw Bros stuff...
Member Fist of the Heavenly Sky Posted November 26, 2017 Member Share Posted November 26, 2017 El Rey came a bit too late. No doubt it would've been a smashing success in the 90's, but I doubt it will find any foot to stand on now. I don't really have cable, and cord cutting has been increasing tenfold in the USA alone year after year.
Member AlbertV Posted August 6, 2021 Member Share Posted August 6, 2021 Robert Rodriguez had shut the network down at the end of 2020, but today, it was announced that he will be rebooting it as a streaming service and has found a partner in Cinedigm. https://variety.com/2021/digital/news/robert-rodriguez-el-rey-network-streaming-cinedigm-1235036257/
