I don't normally create topics, but I just finished watching KFI and thought it was excellent. Interesting direction from Sun Chung, nice choreo from Tong Gaai, good performances from everyone and a light touch with the comedy. I think it might even break into my top 20 Shaw Brothers films. Sun Chung really was one of the best directors for SB. I think I'd only place him behind Lau Kar Leung. Thoughts?

I've never had a problem with Wong Yu, and in this film he's quite restrained. On a side-note, KFI is one of the better quality HD Shaws.

I don't hate the guy, I just think he's a weak lead for the most part. Add insipid comedy to that, and it's a bit of a chore for me, personally, to sit through his starring vehicles. Solid screen fighter though.

Wong Yue would have done rather well in a Three Stooges Kung Fu movie with Hon Kwok-Choi and Dean Shek.
