Hm, among my favorites are:

Rage

Riot

Recoil

Last Man Standing

Executive Target

Deadly Target

Land of the Free

I still love PM Entertainment for producing most of Gary Daniel's best movies and for creating b-action-flicks with rather high production value.

These movies used to crowd VHS renta stores years ago, a lot I dont recall that much about. Just because of the sheer volume of movies I've watched since then, not becuase all of them were forgettable.

Off the top of my head I enjoyed Riot, Cyber Tracker 1 & 2, Guardian Angel, Firepower, Ring Of Fire 1 & 2, Fist Of Honor.

Just picked up a copy of the PM Entertinament produced ColdFire, starring and directed by Wing Hauser(Dead Man Walking).

Frankly, this looks brilliant.  Who is Wings Hauser, and why have I only heard of him now?  His character acts like a cop version of William Forsythe in 'Out for Justice', with the wardrobe of Survivor.

He appeared in a lot of the early PM Entertinament movies, and other classics such as Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal Of Time(1991).

Slacker.

Alright, I'll chime on this this evening when I have a bit more time. Trying to get the kids off to school.

My favorite PM Films:

Ring of Fire (this introduced me to Gary Daniels, who has a wicked fight scene against a long-haired Ron Yuan in the opening scene)

A Dangerous Place (Ted Jan Roberts as a martial artist who infiltrates a rival school to investigate his brother's death)

To Be the Best (Michael Worth leads the U.S. team against other world fighters in a competition in Vegas)

Deadly Bet (my first film with Jeff Wincott, saw it on a Spanish station when I was on my 1st trip to Puerto Rico...great story I thought and nice fights)

Tiger Heart (Ted Jan Roberts' final film with the company, highlighted by a nice fight scene where both Ted and his sensei, played by Art Camacho, face off against a horde of thugs in an alley)

Firepower (the only film appearance of late wrestling great Ultimate Warrior as the insane Swordsman)

Out for Blood (PM's loose remake of Yuen Biao's Above the Law, where Don Wilson played a lawyer by day, high kicking vigilante known as the Karateman by night)

Riot (Gary Daniels and Sugar Ray Leonard team up to rescue Daniels' ex-gf in the middle of an insane L.A. riot)

Final Impact (nice kickboxing film which marked Michael Worth's film debut)

What I liked about PM's martial arts films was the editing of the fight scenes, especially when in the impact shots, they will do one-two cuts angle cuts followed by a slow-motion shot of a third cut, usually from the kicker's point of view then the hit! Go to the Daniels-Yuan fight in the clip below to know what I'm talking about.

I wish PM studios were atill around, while there movies were not high art, I prefer them to all the Ayslum dross, that clogs DVD store shelves.

Well, Joseph Merhi (the M of the company on the right) is a successful real estate developer these days. Here's his official website:

https://www.josephmerhi.com/

As for Richard Pepin (the P of the company on the left), according to IMDB, his last film credit was executive producer on the 2009 horror film Sutures. Can only guess that he's retired.

One of their first MA films was East L.A. Warriors, which looks to have the same set as Ring of Fire for the in-ring fight scenes LOL

Thats one of those movies, thats so bad its good, some of the funniest training scenes I've ever seen.  The useally great, Bill Smith is completely wasted, and it didnt look like he was in good health at the time he made the film.

I might re-visist it for a review one day.

Trailer for Final Impact - Michael Worth's film debut and features Jeff Langton as the current champ who dethroned Lorenzo Lamas' character

Firepower - starring Chad McQueen and Gary Daniels and would be the only film appearance of the late pro wrestler Ultimate Warrior, credited under his birth name of Jim Hellwig.

A Dangerous Place - T.J. Roberts in this martial arts/Lifetime movie hybrid about a teen who infiltrates the karate team responsible for his brother's death.

Tiger Heart - T.J. Roberts' final martial arts film let alone PM film. He would go on to temporarily retire yet make an appearance in 2008's Milk directed by Gus Van Sant and has appeared in a few short films since.

They did for him what Cannon did for Chuck Norris.

I'd read a positive review of this at the The Unknown Movies, whose reviewer, Keith Bailey, was a huge advocate of the PM films back in the 00s. Now with your review, I *definitely* have to watch this.

Wings Hauser was a popular name in 80's B-movies. His son is popular actor Cole Hauser, who appeared in films like Dazed and Confused, School Ties, The Family That Preys, and followed in his dad's footsteps with the action thriller Paparazzi, where he played an action movie star who seeks revenge on the photographers that caused his family to be in a major accident.
