Five-time world champion kickboxer Dale "Apollo" Cook would become not only a fighter and martial artist, but a fight promoter as well as an actor in the 90's, mainly appearing for David Hunt's Davian International.

Born on November 24, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dale Cook began his martial arts journey when he took up Taekwondo at the age of 15. Two years later, he earned his first-degree black belt (he currently holds a 7th-degree black belt). At the age of 20, he helped bring the sport of full-contact karate, or American Kickboxing, to Oklahoma when he promoted and made his in-ring debut. In 1982, Cook opened the first of his Apollo's Karate Studios in Tulsa while continuing his career as a kickboxer, eventually becoming a 5-time world champion, which led him to sign for Davian International and become their star, making films in the Philippines.

Cook would make his film debut in 1990's Fist of Glory followed by Blood Ring in 1991. He would also appear in Eternal Fist, which co-starred Cynthia Khan; and was loaned out to Hong Kong-based Rising Fortune Films to appear as a high-kicking foreigner who has a brief fight with Yu Rong Guang in Deadend of Besiegers. Cook would also star in Triple Impact (with Ron Hall and Bridgett "Baby Doll" Riley), American Kickboxer 2, the family martial arts adventure Double Blast, Raw Target, and Blood Ring 2.

After Blood Ring 2, Cook returned to the U.S. where he continued to both teach martial arts and work as a kickboxing promoter in Oklahoma. In 2009, Cook became the coach of the Oklahoma Destroyers for Chuck Norris's World Combat League. Since then, Cook has focused primarily on teaching and promoting. Last year, Cook promoted his 329th kickboxing event in Oklahoma.
