This is on Playstation Network (UK) for £3.50 rental, haven't seen it yet but it's on my to watch list, haven't seen dvd/blu ray anywhere though. It looks like Adkins movies just don't get physical releases in the UK. I still haven't seen Undisputed 4 as I don't have Netflix!

I don't want a Netflix account, so importing is the only way to go with Udisputed 4. Odd that the movies release date has been pulled, unless Playstation have made them a more lucrative offer, for the U.K rights?. You'd think they would release this on as many formats as possible. Fan's wait for an official release, only for it to be pulled at the last minute, and placed on some digital platform.

This titles still on the HMV.Com web-site, but the release date still down as the 21st of January 2021?. No idea whats going on their, but I'll import long before then lol. Might ask in store about this, next time I shop their.

Miss the days when home entertainment release dates were more striaght forward, and their was non of this mutlti-platform bullshit.

I just got done watching this and I genuinely think it’s Adkins’ finest performance as an actor. The on screen chemistry between him and Mandylor kept this film exciting and entertaining. I actually found it far more enjoyable than “Accident Man.”

The fights were fantastic. Brutal slugfests choreographed very, very well. I loved it and was genuinely surprised by how fresh it all felt. It was like a new era of throwback action. Great stuff.

Two qualms. The film loses itself in its third act. In fact, the entire third act is kind of shitty. It desperately looks for a conscience and then delivers an awful shootout. It utterly runs out of steam and the whole ending feels rushed and weird. I’m actually pretty irked since I loved the rest of the film so much.

Also (and I’m surprised I’m the only to mention this so far) Mandylor needs to FUCKING ENUNCIATE. Half of what he says is mumbled. Maybe I’m just going deaf in my old age but I lost out on a log what he said. Maybe it’s an accent thing?

With all that said...great film. The rest of the film makes up for the awful ending. A true buddy film classic in my eyes. And it was really nice to see Adkins in this type of role without being overly cartoonish like “Accident Man.” Two thumbs up.

i just watched this as well and I echo what Drunken Monk said, this is one of Adkins' best performances and one of his best films. I didn't mind the ending as much as DM did, but the shootout was a little flat compared to the other action sequences in the film. I thought Mandylor was fantastic, but DM is right about his enunciation, very hard to understand. Ended up watching the film with the subtitles on and that helped a lot. Highly recommended.

There's no denying Adkins & Mandylor had chemistry. (Probably why they're doing another film together.) But yeah, Mandylor's going for the soft, gruff voice along with his character's hacking & coughing his way through dialogue became a chore to listen to. And yeah, I wasn't keen about the ending on a number of levels. I'm in complete agreement on all that.

I knew going in this wasn't supposed to be another MA film starring Adkins. But to me, the fight choreography was really uneven. It was like a pattern: one fight pretty good, one fight meh. Some more MA tossed in there would only have improved the quality of action.

I still think it's a solid action movie, but nothing I'm rushing to watch again. However, I personally think that Accident Man ranks above this as one of Adkins' best films. I think I watched that 3x over the course of 2 weeks when I got it. I enjoyed Adkins' acting in that much more. It's got good story, humor, great supporting character/cast, and brutal MA action. It's an movie with attitude. But that's me.

I think Adkins hams it up something awful in “Accident Man.” To the point of being silly. It felt more like a parody of an early Guy Richie film than an homage. Although there was definitely more martial arts in that one.

i don’t really know why I liked the fight scenes in “The Debt Collector” so much since I’m a true shapes head at heart. I just enjoyed how bare bones it was. Even the weaker fights (the one with two tall black guys, for example) felt...I don’t know...fun? I really liked it being old school style fisticuffs and, more importantly, I really liked Adkins getting the shit kicked out of him for once. It was modern in that it was raw, brutal and often stylized but it was a nice throwback to the films of the 80’s when it was just good old fashioned fisticuffs.

Anyway, I respect all opinions on this film. I can understand how it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and I completely get how some people would want to see Adkins’ more familiar stuff.

Yeah, I can see that. Nice analogy.

Yeah, to me, some of that was definitely good. I guess with Adkins being such a bootmaster, that's what I really look forward to seeing. Plain ol' fisticuffs seems beneath his skill level. And there are a fair amount of standard action stars that can do the fisticuff thing.

Ah, well. Tomato, to-mah-to, and all that. As long as he keeps making action films, and doesn't go all "I'm an ac-tor" drama queen on me. (This is all about me, right?)

This will be making its U.K premeire on the big screen, September 14th at the Straford Picturehouse. This might just be why the U.K DVD release date, has moved back? @andy338. Director Jess.V.Johnson and star Scott Adkins, will be in attendance at the Theatrical premeire.

Looks like Netflix have got the U.K right to this, so don't expect any kind of DVD/Blu-Ray release anytime soon. They like to get exclusive right to new films, in order to get more subscribers on board. Shame they announced the U.K physical release, which I wanted to support, only to cancel it.

I agree with every word right down to the third act being a let down, actually to the extent it kind of ruins the rest of the film. The shootout was absolutely ridiculous. I know it's a cliche but I missed not having a final boss to battle, I'd have liked to have seen Adkins and Mandylor having to team up to fight some huge behemoth. Otherwise, great film. The banter between Adkins and Mandylor was genuinely well written and they share good chemistry onscreen. I liked the different opponents Adkins was pitted against, and the writers put just enough character backstory so you were invested by the end.

It's out on DVD in the UK now by the way, I picked it up in Tesco for £7

I finally got around to watching this. I enjoyed it quite a bit: the action was pretty good for the most part, the dialog was nice and snappy, and the acting was good. The fights were all well-choreographed brawls with (to quote @ShaOW!linDude) "martial arts flourishes." The first fight at the dojo was the best of the movie. I had worry about the scene of houses filled with bikini-clad lovelies and burlesque clubs because my wife was in the room; I fast-forwarded the sex scene before she could see it and give me a disapproving look.

Only the climatic set piece--an uninspired shoot-out--really took away from the movie.

For anyone that's reading the Docs post, no 'The Debt Collector' isn't an uninspired porno.
