L.A. Streetfighters and American Chinatown (1985/1993)

I was looking for information on another film on the Korean Movie Database (http://www.kmdb.or.kr/eng) and I came across something very interesting. I noticed that in IMDb, under director Richard Park, there was a 1993 film called Chinatown 2, but I didn't see Chinatown. I knew American Chinatown was originally called Chinatown 2. So I did some researching on the KMDB and learned that...

L.A. Street Fighters/Ninja Turf is actually the original Chinatown. Here's the Korean poster of the film.

 

 

So while its not a direct sequel, it looks to be a thematic sequel as both are set in L.A.'s Chinatown. I found this quite interesting.
