Chickboxer (1992): Anyone watched this one?

Stumbled upon this early 90's straight to video title, which I doubt we'll be seeing on DVD/Blu-Ray anytime soon.

I have not seen it but considering the star and tagline of the film, it definitely is exploitative. Michelle Bauer is known for being a popular B-movie exploitation star, usually in horror films.

If that didn't sell you movie @One Armed Boxer, then the description on the back of the VHS certianly would?.

 

 

Love how they sold this as a female lead action film, only to say she's not capable of beating the bad guys on the back cover?.

Yeah I've seen it and it was okay. Michelle Bauer didn't have that big a role if I'm remembering correctly.

There is a Blu-Ray edition available from Tempe Digital. Knowing I've been into more SOV content as of late, this is going to be on my radar no matter how crazy it is! From what I read, Michelle Bauer plays the titular Chickboxer but the story revolves a fan who takes up karate to channel her idol and fight crime...yeah looks horrendous, but I'm still going to see it LOL
