South African actress/singer/songwriter Liesl Ahlers talks briefly about her martial arts experience while promoting her 2020 film Triggered. She is a brown belt in Hapkido.

I would love to see her use those skills in a movie down the road

I'm not sure what Elaine Lui's MA background was, but she was far more convincing than Sibelle Hu was in her fight scenes. 

That said, in her interview for Deadly China Dolls: Top Fighter 2, it was clear that Lui was bitter at being typcast into action movie roles.

Elaine was the opposite to Sylvia Chang. The latter was a martial artist but didn't want to be typecast so she never let on what she could do.

Sylvia Chang recently took home her 3rd Best Actress Award for the film, A Light Never Goes Out at the Golden Horse Awards. The debut feature by Anastasia Tsang. Here she is accepting her award and a pic with Angelica Lee.
