Member DragonClaws Posted January 31, 2019 Author Member Share Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) Quote Lee plays a former bodyguard highly trained in martial arts, whose relationship with her sister Eun-hye -- Park Se-wan -- is the most important thing in her life after the death of her parents. She seeks to lead a normal life after serving a prison sentence for excessive use of force on the job, but her wish is thwarted by the mysterious disappearance of her sister. Lee said the action of the film was what appealed most to her. Using force comes naturally to the actress, whose stint with boxing began in 2010 and led to multiple titles at the amateur stage. She no longer boxes competitively. Director Im said the actress did not use stunt doubles, CGI or wires in making the film. Lee Si-young says ‘No Mercy’ is different kind of action flick Link- http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20181128000630 Theatrical poster, for Lee Si-Young's new film, the Korean Martial Arts flick, No Mercy. Member DragonClaws Posted February 4, 2019 Author Member Share Posted February 4, 2019 (edited) 2019, looks set to be the year of the action heroine, not a new concept, but one that been neglected, certainly by Hollywood. With various tougher than tough, ladies, taking to the screen's, to get even or exact their revenge, anyway, anywhere, anyhow. We have followng films either coming out soon, or in production/developement. In no particular order, Olivia Wilde in A Vigilante, Halle Berry in Bruised, Ngo Thanh-Van directs and stars in Phillipines flick Furie, Lee Si-Young starring in Korean actioner No Mercy, Gina Carano in Daughter of The Wolf. Two project in development are, Street Blood, Zara Pythian, and Promising Young Woman with Carey Mulligan. Also not forgetting the recent Tara Macken indie feature, with an a very origina story, Intensive Care(2018). Then there's also the Mike Leeder produced, Maria Tran documentary Femme Fatales: Seen & Unheard. Which is currently filming now. Christine Reyes, star of Maria(2019), thanks to @Mike Leeder, for the head's up on this title. Click on the link below, for the Maria movie trailer/thread. Member DragonClaws Posted February 6, 2019 Author Member Share Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) Quote Born in a car in Kuwait, Tara is a byproduct of her Filipina mother and her Irish father. The Mackens lived in the Middle East until the eruption of the Gulf War, where they then moved to Brunei in Borneo. It was in Borneo where Tara became an outdoor junkie, hashing, flipping and climbing through the jungles of Brunei and Sarawak IMDB- https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2706388/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm Martial Artist/Actress/Stunt woman, Tara Macken(Intensive Care) was Tessa Thompson's(Creed) stunt double, for the movie, Thor Ragnarok(2017).
