Member AlbertV Posted June 6, 2017 Member Share Posted June 6, 2017 Meshing the gambling comedy with their trademark Hong Kong-style action, Martial Club's latest short film is a hoot with Andy Le doing one of the craziest flip stunts in the ensuing fight scene
Member Drunken Monk Posted June 6, 2017 Member Share Posted June 6, 2017 I love most of Martial Club's short films and this is no exception. However, I do think they overdid it with the powder. We get it, 80's kung fu cinema used a lot of powder to emphasize blows, but they never used this much. It really took me out the video upon first watch. With that said, great stuff. Their hand-to-hand exchanges are some of the best around. Intricate, filled with classic shapes... It's always fun to watch these dudes go at each other. Member ShaOW!linDude Posted June 6, 2017 Member Share Posted June 6, 2017 Yeah, they got heavy-handed with the chalk, but man alive! Outstanding choreography, and that little bit of shapes work at the end was fun to watch. These guys need to do a compilation dvd of their videos. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
