I tried to include every relevant movie that could conceivably be chosen as a favorite, but avoided the truly crappy ones (unless it's one that some consider a guilty pleasure) or the really obscure ones. Apologies in advance if I missed your favorite, and I could possibly modify the poll if you let me know (it's the first time I do polls on this site).  I'm also thinking of doing a top 3 per year, as some years were simply overflowing with classics.  But I believe that would have to be manually calculated.

Not sure if this will work well or not, but any suggestions welcome!

2015:

Ip Man 3 since I hadn't seen anything else (except for Kung Fury which was okay).

2016:

The Bodyguard (if that is the Yue Song movie). :laugh

Didn't realize there were two Bodyguard movies in 2016!  I added the Yue Song one.

Yikes! Talk about nothing to see here. I usually would sprint to the nearest theater to check out Martial arts cinema. I don't recall going at all to seek these films out cause some of them were on netflix and some were just aids on celluloid. I'd rather watch CSPAN for god sakes.

I adore Kung Fury by the way.

Really sad to see that the quality of martial arts films in general has fallen a lot. I voted for The Assassin and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny. The former is more because I absolutely love the cinematography and the story (the action is incredibly lackluster) and the latter because even though its kinda weird, the choreography is probably some of the best stuff in the past few years.

I also do like Ip Man 3 and SPL 2, but considering how much I love the previous films in each respective series, I think both were a bit of a disappointment.
