I tried to include every relevant movie that could conceivably be chosen as a favorite, but avoided the truly crappy ones (unless it's one that some consider a guilty pleasure) or the really obscure ones. Apologies in advance if I missed your favorite, and I could possibly modify the poll if you let me know (it's the first time I do polls on this site).  I'm also thinking of doing a top 3 per year, as some years were simply overflowing with classics.  But I believe that would have to be manually calculated.

Not sure if this will work well or not, but any suggestions welcome!

1994:

Drunken Master 2, though Fist of Legend is also great.

1995:

Rumble in the Bronx. Fun movie, but not great. The Blade is definitely a runner up.

1996:

I chose First Strike which kinda sucks because that movie isn't really that great. 1996 seems to be a relatively weak year for martial arts movie (haven't seen Dr Wai).

The years where I just started to get into Jackie Chan movies. Memorable, thank you!

At the moment I'm thinking: Fist of Legend, Rumble in the Bronx and First Strike. I'm not actually going to vote yet though, I'm going to take more time in considering it.

Lets see:

  1. (1994) "Fist of Legend": I would probably have picked "Drunken Master II" but I have not actually watched it yet. So I went with "Fist of Legend" instead. That fight scene at the Dojo was incredible. Easily one of my Top 5 fight scenes of all time.
  2. (1995) "Rumble in the Bronx": Easy pick for me since it holds a special place in my heart. It was not only my first Jackie Chan film, but one of the first marital arts films I ever saw(I think I saw "The Big Boss" and "Fist of Fury" first, but it was close) period.  I watched it again recently, and its still as awesome as the first time I watched it.
  3. (1996) "Jackie Chan's First Strike": It was between this one and "Black Mask", but I decided to go with "First Strike" due to the sentimental value of having saw it when I was a kid. But I love both of them.

Man the 90s were rough for martial arts movies.

There were indeed some all time greats but on average it wasnt a great decade.
