I tried to include every relevant movie that could conceivably be chosen as a favorite, but avoided the truly crappy ones (unless it's one that some consider a guilty pleasure) or the really obscure ones. Apologies in advance if I missed your favorite, and I could possibly modify the poll if you let me know (it's the first time I do polls on this site).  I'm also thinking of doing a top 3 per year, as some years were simply overflowing with classics.  But I believe that would have to be manually calculated.

Not sure if this will work well or not, but any suggestions welcome!

1988:

Dragons Forever though Tiger on Beat was a runner up.

1989:

I chose Miracles which is probably Jackie Chan's best movie on a technical level. Unbelievably high production values (especially for a Hong Kong movie) and beautiful cinematography along with the inventive fight scenes.

1990:

I chose Island of Fire despite it not being the greatest movie ever. I haven't seen Tiger Cage 2 or Swordsman yet.

These years, a kick in the nuts would have given me satisfaction in the theaters. I didn't care what it was, I'd watch it. RIght? HHAHAHAHHA

I'm honestly suprised that Island of Fire has gotten any votes at all. I thought nobody outside of Thomas Weisser actually liked it (he gave it four stars in his book).

As the years roll on, I can only choose the movies I have seen.  I haven't seen many of these.

I am absolutely ashamed to say I have not seen a single one of the films listed under 1990, however Outlaw Brothers needs to be added to the list! An incredibly underrated, but really fun martial arts film with great choreography and humour and definitely one of my favourite HK films overall.
