Member AlbertV Posted April 4, 2017 Member Share Posted April 4, 2017 Werner Herzog's latest film, Salt and Fire, comes to iTunes and VOD today with a limited theatrical release on Friday. The film revolves around a UN delegation sent to South America to research a possible natural disaster. The leader of the delegation is kidnapped and separated from her group by an unscrupulous CEO of a company, who sends her to the salt deserts of Bolivia with two blind boys and force them to survive the beautiful looking yet very harsh conditions. The film stars Veronica Ferres, Michael Shannon, and Gael Garcia Bernal. I saw the film and I've always liked Herzog's films and once again, he lives up to his expectations IMO with the beauty of nature yet forces his characters to face the extremes of that nature. https://worldfilmgeek.com/2017/04/03/review-salt-and-fire-2017/ In addition, I did an interview with Veronica Ferres about the film, which she considers a dream project for her because Herzog was the reason why she decided to become a film star and gets to work with the one who inspired her: https://worldfilmgeek.com/2017/04/03/interview-with-veronica-ferres-star-of-salt-and-fire/
