Member De Ming Li Posted April 1, 2017 Member Share Posted April 1, 2017 Is ONE WAY ONLY some sort of sequel to KILLERS ON WHEELS?
Member panku Posted April 1, 2017 Member Share Posted April 1, 2017 3 hours ago, De Ming Li said: Is ONE WAY ONLY some sort of sequel to KILLERS ON WHEELS? One Way Only is about a kid (Robert Mak) who dreams of racing a motorcycle but doesn't have any money. He gets a job as an apprentice mechanic working in Danny Lee (who used to be a champion racer)'s garage. There's a bunch of hoodlums that ride bikes and commit petty crimes and basically are a nusiance that Robert Mak thinks are cool and he falls in with them. Eventually he builds a bike so he can go race in Macao. The gang in this film is nowhere near as sociopathic as the gang in Killers on Wheels. It's more in the vein of somthing like Young Lovers on Flying Wheels than the bloodbath of Killers.

Member panku Posted October 5, 2017 Member Share Posted October 5, 2017 Thank you! That is a great group of films. One of the things I find interesting about this thread is that as soon as I see one of the cards it makes me want to go rewatch the film. Since this thread started in February I've re-watched lots of these! Same with the other thread of non-shaws lobbies. I re-watched quite a few of them also. The new blu-ray of Bewitched is first on the pile and I'll probably follow that up with Boxer's Omen, but then Shaolin Rescuers is a must. I don't remember much about Shaolin Intruders so that will be great to revisit.

Shaolin intruders is great, you'll enjoy it ! I rewatched Shaolin Intruders (3rd time) and I was surprised at how good it was. That is a film that I couldn't remember anything about, until I started watching it. I think for all these years since I watched it last, I thought the lead was Mok Siu Chung, who I'm not a big fan of, and not Derek Yee, so I wasn't in a rush to re-watch. Good to see such a great cast in a late period Shaw film. Swift Sword is on deck now, it has been too long since I've seen it. Recently watched Soul of the Sword and Swordsman and Enchantress, 2 of my favorites and they both hold up well. Going to have to revisit Sweet is Revenge also.

Member ShawAngela Posted December 22, 2017 Member Share Posted December 22, 2017 Here are some lobby cards I got of the movie Imperial tomb raiders, just the kind of movie I would LOVE to be released by any means, in any language ! The clothes and weapons make me think of Downhill they ride and The ammunition hunters and I'm not surprised to see Shan Mao, Sit Hon and Wei Ping Ao playing in it, and I wouldn't be surprised either to learn that Shan Mao plays a villain, Sit Hon plays a righteous villager and Wei Ping Ao a traitor in this movie... Some of the actresses look familiar, but their names are totally unknow to me...
