The movie was directed by Johnny Martin and written by John Mankiewicz (Bosch, House of Cards), based on a novel by Joyce Carol Oates. Cast includes Nicolas Cage, Don Johnson, and Anna Hutchinson (The Cabin in the Woods). "On the Fourth of July, single mother Teena is brutally assaulted by a local gang in front of her 12-year-old daughter.
