That is Seiji Sakaguchi.

He is not Chinese, he is Japanese. He is a retired wrestler & Judoka. He holds a 7th dan red & white belt in judo.

While wrestling, he held numerous tag team titles in the NWA & a one time WWWF North American champion.

Much appreciated, it may have been you who answered this question in the old thread?.

Interesting to hear that he was involved in pro wrestling. Harold Sakata, who played Odd Job in the Sean Connery Bond films also had a background in wrestling. Then went on to appear in a few Martial Arts movies, The Ninja Strikes Back with Bruce Le being one of them. Sakata was know where near as tall of course.

CKT vs Mario Milano The Boxer from Shantung 1972

Did this movie come out before Bruce Lee started filming Game Of Death?. If so, it might just be the earliest example of Martial Arts movie fght featuring a average guy taking on a giant?.

Jean Claude Van Dammes fights with Patrick Kilpatrick(Death Warant) and Vincent Klyn(Cyborg) both fit this threads theme. Both former surfer Klyn and actor Kilpatrick tower over Van Damme, and both played unstoppable killers.

You are right, and while were on the subject of Won Jin, I've never seen him any of of his starring roles.

He really doesn't have any starring roles from his brief stint in Hong Kong, however he's definitely worth checking out in 'Women on the Run', and does a great comedic turn in 'No Problem 2'.  His role in 'China Strike Force' is pretty throw away (& he said himself he regrets agreeing to be in it), and I've yet to see 'Hero from Beyond the Boundary of Time'.

While he did have starring roles in Korea, the movies he made there have rarely been released beyond domestic VHS tapes from back in the day, and are notoriously difficult to get hold of.  There are plenty of youtube clips of him in action through from his Korean output.

Bolo Yeung vs. former wrestler Raja Lion in Bloodfight (screengrab from Youtube clip)  - even with Bolo playing the main villain, he did fight again Lion in the semi-finals of the tournament before facing Kurata-san in the final.

Here's a more recent shot of Raja Lion, as a member of a circus troupe.

Here's another encounter from Bloodfight featuring Bolo up against a giant Sumo wrestler.

Not sure of the Japanese actors name?.

While the final fight in Cyborg(1989) has been brought up, the movie features a few other David VS Goliath styled encounters. Van Dammes brief battle with the 6'1 220lb Greek Brazilia Jiu-Jitsu expert Stefanos Miltsakakis. He would go onto have a further two screen battles with the Belgium born Martial Artist, in the 1996 movie Maximum Risk.

Stefanos far left, in a sequence cut from the official release of Cyborg(1989).

Then there's the unique way in which Van Damme overcomes the towering 6'5 former Mr Universe Ralf Moeller(Gladiator, The Bad Pack).

I would have posted this in the Matthias Hues thread that @ShaOW!linDude created, but it appears to have got lost during the 2016 black out.

The latest guest on the Kung Fu Moive Guide pod-cast, is none other than the towering Mathhias Hues.

Scott Adkins with walking mountain Martyn Ford, who played Koshmar in Boyka: Undisputed(2016).

Ford also has a role in the up-coming Scott Adkins actioner Accident Man.

Thats an interesting way of looking at it, they could have re-named anyone of his films Weng Weng VS The Giants.

Conan Steven's has quite a few David & Goliath style encounters, in Bangkok Adrenaline(2009). In most cases, fighting multiple opponenets, and while looking like Jason Statham/Dwayne Johnson hybrid.

I don't know what kind of restaurant has a whole section of the menu dedicated to pork chop, but I'd like to check it out.

Conan Stevens looks like he could eat the entire menu in one sitting.
