He started practicing Martial Arts at the age of eight, studying Mongolian Kung Fu. Aged twelve he took up Taekwondo, he was a black belt after just three years of studying/practicing the art. At sixteen he became a 2nd Dan and began to compete in International Taekwon-Do Federation sanctioned compeitions. Daniels started to study Kickboxing under British Army Boxing champion Mickey Byrne. He made his competitve debut in 1979, with sixteen amateur matches of which he won thirteen by knockout. By the late 80's he had moved to America and studied Muay Thai in Carlifornia at Benny The Jet Urquidez's Jet Centre. He also studied Ninjitsu for a time under Mark Russo. After he turned proffessional Daniels won the WKBA California State Light Heavyweight Championship and the PKA World Light Heavyweight Championship in the U.K. After a long and succesful run as a proffesioanl fighter, he began to pursue a career in film. Making his screen debut in the Phillipines production King Mahis Island(1988) shortly followed by Final Reprisal(1988). His first starring role was in the 1991 David Huey Martial Arts actioner Capital Punishment. He appeared opposite Don Wilson in Ring Of Fire the same year, playing the movies main villian Bud. Daniels appeared alongside Jackie Chan and Richard Norton in the big screen version of the Magna comic inspired City Hunter(1993). With other 74 productions listed on his IMDB filmography, the Brit-Kicker has certianly had an impressive career in movies. Starring alongside the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard, Steve Austin, Stu Bennett, Sylvester Stallone, Eric Roberts, Gary Busey and Mickey Rouke to name just a few. He currently has number of films & projects lined up, including The Law of Destiny, The Gardener, and Repeater. His eldest son Shane is a freerunner and was a contestant on American Ninja Warrior. Shane is now in films, but as a stuntman.
