This is quickly becoming my most anticipated film.

Jeffrey Wright would make a very solid Commissioner Gordon. He seems a bit soft spoken for a role I'd typically consider "gruff" but Gary Oldman wasn't exactly grizzled when he stepped into those shoes.
The Long Halloween is a great story too. In fact, I might read it again when I get home just to get a little more hyped. And as for Jonah Hill as The Riddler? I see it. A darker, less comical Riddler. Good stuff.

If they use a story like The long Halloween I can see why there'd be so many different classic Bat-villains. A lot of them appear in the comic, but mostly amont to little though they act quite in character IIRC (read it long ago). I feel the biggest/most memorable stuff in the story involves Poison Ivy having Bruce Wayne under her sway and Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face before attacking a mob boss at his house with the help of Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy and some other villains.

Could be a neat movie in the end.

6 villains? Are they all gonna be in a submarine together plotting their next move? And a rubber, or updated cgi shark biting at Batman's leg, a 7nth villian?

And I made the stupid mistake of reading the comments on that article and seeing people getting into arguments of race, ethnicity ("Selina" is Latin!"; "Yes, but it's Spanish. Spanish = White!") and whatnot. Now I feel dumber. I think the mere fact that Eartha Kitt played her in the 1960s--not to mention Halle Berry in the early 00s-- for a stint means that "she's-white-in-the-comics-and-therefore-must-always-be-white-in-media" fanboys really need to shut up.

Yeah, 'comments sections' on most websites usually makes my eyes bleed.

Well, Jonah Hill will NOT be joining The Batman. He has exited talks and has decided to pass on the potential Riddler role it looks like. So only both Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz are the only confirmed casting for the new take on Batman.

I totally see it. He would make a good Riddler.

Colin Farrell is being touted to play Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, in The Batman.

https://nypost.com/2019/11/05/colin-farrell-in-talks-to-play-penguin-rounding-out-the-batman-villain-trio/

And in some interesting news, Andy Serkis, who is set to direct Venom 2, is in talks to play Alfred Pennyworth, Batman's butler and father figure.

In some shocking rumors, Matthew McConaughey, who just celebrated the big 5-0, may possibly play Harvey Dent

Robert Pattinson has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Rigan Machado, who will appear in next year's Jiu Jitsu opposite Alain Moussi  and Nicolas Cage. Pattinson began training two years ago.

Newcomer Jayme Lawson has scored an undisclosed key role in The Batman. This is her first major role after graduating from Julliard.

I can take one guess who she might play and I'm going to take a wild one at that: I think she may play Barbara Gordon, daughter of Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright)

Matt Reeves has officially confirmed that Andy Serkis will be the new Alfred.

There's more on newcomer Jayme Lawson's role. It is said her name is Bella and she is apparently a political rival to Harvey Dent running for office in Gotham City.

Batman vs Penguin... What a great fight !!

Although since the movie will likely have a grittier approach showcasing Batman's skills and resourcefulness, so here's something that will probably come across as more appropriate.

So... Are they going with the style of the Arkham video games for the logo and an even bulkier armor than the Nolan movies ? Kinda disappointing...

This may be a huuuuuuuge stretch but the internet is buzzing so I thought I'd post it here. Devout Batman fans think the new bat-symbol is made from the gun that killed Bruce Wayne's parents.

I can't tell if it is ridiculously stupid or hilariously bad. Like... Wow. Could be worse though, he could have used the bat that crashed through his window and inspired the bat motive...
