Member paimeifist Posted October 5, 2023 Member Share Posted October 5, 2023 I really just have no idea where to post about this movie I just watched - but this seems as fitting a thread as any. Evil Destroyer (1988) Father Daniels takes on ninjas wearing clown masks and hopping vampires, while Dragon seeks revenge against the man who killed his father in a more conventional old school Taiwanese fu flick - its all loosely wrapped together by a plot about international opium trade. I turned this one on hoping for it to kinda suck - and in ways, it did - but in a good way. Father Daniels ruthlessly kills people, but 1 in 10 times he will check on his opponent (after obviously killing them) and sometimes pray for them. The Taiwanese fu flick side of things had seriously bad ass fighting, and Kam Kong as the lead villain. The parts with the westerners probably take up less then 10 minutes of the total run time.
