Thats a cool story, and back in the day when not everyone had some sort of picture taking device on them. It's one of my favorite Bruceploitation films, despite the misleading title. We never got a full blown Ninja/Bruceploitationer cross-over, and if any clone was upto that task, its Huang Kin-Lung.

Hi @shukocarl

Never seen this film, for some reason I was under the impression Li doesnt have much screen time?. Is Power Force the one with a very young Robert Patrick in it?.

No Robert Patrick I'm afraid - that's a flick starring Bruce Le (title escapes me right now). Dragon Force is a fun flick. Bruce Barron is the lead and Li is his "Boss". He has lots of screen time and there are lots of good fight scenes, definitely deserves to be better known,

One of the worst Bruceploitation dust-up's of all time?, I think its Tong Long in the clip?, no idea who is fighting?. It's a clear rip-off, of the Norris/Lee fight in WOTD, even down to the Ennio Morricone score.

Another trivia (and a very tragic one): do you remember the among the ruins fight against the italian black suited master armed with Sai? well, that guy was found dead later, suicided, by hangin'. A sad note. I dont know why, I dont even recall his name. The kidnapping of the boss daughter was shot in the street near University La Sapienza of Rome, a zone I know well. And the sniper killer was Gianni Nunnari, who later went in Hollywood by producing things like 300 or Seven (but probably Ive already posted this, sorry for the repetition). The movie is just terrible, almost a porn-movie quality, but funny enough and when it opened at cinema Adriano (a top notch teather in Rome) there was a huge amount of cars and motorbikes parked in the street because of the audience, even if it was full August summer, when nobody went to the movies. Dick Randall made an Agreement with italian publisher Edizioni Mediterranee and they released a little booklet with the same italian title of the movie (written by an unexistent Ken Dale), and gave it for free to the audience who went at the premiere. The booklet was just a kind of manual with some photos of the movie, nothing special. Just a trick, a promo device. Many people went to see this movie like me, 'cause we hoped to see some real footage of the real Lee. Its seems stupid today, but we were kids and today's people cant understand because they've everything (tv, video, dvd, pc) but, back then, my generation had nothing but TV and the hope to see something about our lost hero, no matter if it was good or bad. Anyway, to stay true to myself, I Always preferred this crap kind of movies (acted by genuine Kungfu talents) rather than ultra-tech and stuntdoubled Jet Li.  Ciao

I remember another pair of anecdotes about this: the italian black suited martialist who fights against Bruce among the ruins, armed with Sai, toward the end, was found dead later, he suicided himself by hanging. I dont know why. This tragic episode was told me years later by an italian kung-fu instructor who knew him. The italian sniper who kills Bruce's girl was Gianni Nunnari, who became a successful producer in Hollywood (300 and Seven; maybe Ive already written this somewhere, sorry if Im repeating myself). When the movie opened in Rome, summer 1981 or 82 I cant recall, there was a huge number of cars and motorbikes in front of the cinema Adriano (a top-notch theatre) because the first weekend alot of Young people went to see it (I was among them). The producer Dick Randall made an Agreement with italian publisher Edizioni Mediterranee and they gave for free a copy of the book BRUCE LEE VIVE ANCORA (the italian title of the movie) to the audience who went the very first day. And I was among them again and took it. Actually the booklet was just a kind of karate manual with some bad photos from the movie and few other things, just a trick, a promo device.  But I feel simpathy for those days, when an HK kung.fu actioner could be seen on a big screen instead of dvd. A curious trivia: see the cover of the booklet below? the face is the real Lee from the final freeze frame of Fist of Fury (when he jumps on the air before the shooting), but the body came from Marvel's Iron Fist comic-book. In the comic-book Iron Fist had his uniform, they just made it bare-cheasted with pants and the face of Bruce Lee. Ken Dale, the author of the booklet, simply does not exist.

The most annoying "bruceploitation" of all time. Ryusei.

Hat's off to the kids physical talents, he's got the moves, but I really hope the Betty Ting Pei picture is a fake.

Schizofrantic Kung Fu was released by a small Hong Kong distribution company named Genuine Kung Films. From the brochure taped to one of the canisters, it appears that they had the rights to no fewer than 11 films starring Burce Lee. The odd spelling is so consistent that I have to assume that it is “correct”. The description of Schizofrantic Kung Fu therein is “Burce Lee is master of schizofrenic marital art. Watch him tear enemys in two with power of split brain!” While enthusiastic, that’s not entirely accurate.

Is this movie for real?.
