Member DragonClaws Posted November 12, 2017 Member Share Posted November 12, 2017 There's an advert for an online Casino, thats currently doing the rounds on U.K T.V. It features a clip of a Bruce Lee clone in the Game Of Death jump suit, twirling some nunchaku. Any British fans seen this yet?.
Member DragonClaws Posted November 15, 2017 Member Share Posted November 15, 2017 Something for Bruceploitation fans to get their teeth into, my latest ramble is inspired by Bruce King Of Kung Fu. Anyone interested, can view my review, by clicking the link below, cheers.
Member AlbertV Posted November 16, 2017 Member Share Posted November 16, 2017 I saw this under the title Bruce Takes Dragon Town. It was Yuen Si-Wo's attempt at being "Bruce Lee" apparently. The original title is Dare You Touch Me
Member Killer Meteor Posted November 16, 2017 Member Share Posted November 16, 2017 I don't think it's meant to be a Bruceploitation movie. That title didn't turn up until video. The cover of my VHS copy has Bruce Le on the front, and the back cover gives the synopsis of Deadly Strike!

That old chesnut, the Deadly Strike release probably had the plot synopsis for Bruce Takes Dragon Town. I dont think any other movie genre has had such a lack of care, when it comes to releasing the movies with misleading covers. Then there's the release that just appear to make up the plots, for the covers. Something we don't see as much of anymore, but back in the VHS days, it happened a lot. Member Killer Meteor Posted November 16, 2017 Member Share Posted November 16, 2017 On a similar note, my VHS of The Young Tiger (AKA Police Woman, AKA Rumble in Hong Kong) says Jackie stars as Bruce Li (!), then lists the plot of Eagle Shadow Fist!

This was the release I picked up, claiming to be digitally remastered on the cover, and with an added tagline. These tapes used to clog up bargain bins everywhere, around the time of Rumble In The Bronx success. Kesiki also released Shaolin Wooden Men and New Fist Of Fury, I cant comment on the NFOF release, but Shaolin Wooden Men was Uncut, unlike previous U.K releases. Member Killer Meteor Posted November 17, 2017 Member Share Posted November 17, 2017 Odd, I had the Kiseki Shaolin Wooden Men and it was missing the entire first reel.

The BBFC cuts were restored to this version, not sure why it was missing the opening reel?. Maybe we should move this discussion to the Jackie Chan exploitation thread?. Member DragonClaws Posted November 19, 2017 Member Share Posted November 19, 2017 Sad news. Years before Arnie and friends were tearing up the big screen in the 80's, Brad Harris was appearing in action movies, from Hollywood to Italy, and the far east in his later years.
Member DragonClaws Posted November 19, 2017 Member Share Posted November 19, 2017 Chow Yun Fat exploitation?, someone has decided to put the actors head on Bruce Lee's body. Equally odd, the companys packaged one of his early films with some Dragon Lee flicks. One of the most random looking budget Kung-Fu box sets Ive seen.
Member saltysam Posted November 19, 2017 Member Share Posted November 19, 2017 (edited) Any news on the supposed Bruceploitation box set Severin were meant to be releasing? Edited November 19, 2017 by saltysam

From what little I know, Severin are releasing some Bruceploitation titles next year with the help of Michael Worth. I'm not sure if they will be put out as single discs releases or as part of box-sets, most likely both.
