Member DragonClaws Posted September 5, 2017 Member Share Posted September 5, 2017 (edited) Looks like we only lost a few posts in this thread, when the server was recently hacked. Getting back on track with some Bruceploitation meets Chansploitation, Fist Of Death(1982). You can read my recent review of this title, by clicking on the link below, thank you. Member DragonClaws Posted September 11, 2017 Member Share Posted September 11, 2017 Stumbled upon these two images online, I'm assuming the picture was taken by Michael Worth and his film crew?. When they recently interviewed the Korean Dragon for their up-coming Bruceploitation documentary?. Severin films who produced the Trailers Of Fury, are also producing the Bruce Lee clones film.

Member DragonClaws Posted September 14, 2017 Member Share Posted September 14, 2017 Bruce Lee's life story, done 90's Hollywood style. The 1970's Hong Kong years look. Jason Scott Lee, appears to have been launched from a cannon, in the above shot. How do you kill a giant demon samurai?. You use a pair of nunchaku of course.

Honestly, this movie would've flowed so much better as a standalone project rather than a half-assed "biopic", that is, have the main character be anyone other than Bruce. If nothing else, it would've allowed for the producers to double down on the eccentrics. I actually quite dig the overly dramatized fights. Member Fist of the Heavenly Sky Posted October 3, 2017 Member Share Posted October 3, 2017 This pic sums up Bruceploitation in general. Also known as "Yellow Dragon Conquers White Cave: Starring Bruce Lee, the breast martial artist of all time".

It's entertaining as a Martial Arts movie, but terribe as a seriouse Bruce Lee biopic. Jason Scott Lee looked the part, and due to his back ground in dance, he did a good job with the fight scenes. I feel April Chun would've made for a better love interest than Lauren Holly (nothing against her as an actress). The Hollywood stardom storyline is just a mess and should've been replaced with a subplot of Jason going to Thailand to confront his inner demons. Speaking of Jason, he still practices Jeet Kune Do to this very day. He also oozes charisma in his own special way and it's a shame his acting was severely limited around portraying a very specific image of Bruce Lee.
