It seems that the thread created a while ago has totally disappeared when the forum had this big problem...

Does anyone have saved the beautiful letter that Golden Dragon Ying Yang had written and the pictures I had posted, and also Lady Kymbuchi's pictures and the comments too, please ?

I just discovered that David Chiang has directed the TVB series Forty something with Adam Cheng !

I was aware that he had directed several movies, but I didn't know that he had also directed series. First, I didn't believed it when I saw it in a google translation of the description of the series, but when I returned to the Chinese language, I recognized David Chiang's name in the credits, so, that must be true...

Thanks for these pictures, at least, we have these ones.

The ones I had post came from some stores on a Taiwanese site where people were selling their David Chiang's pictures and magazines, I'll try to get them back when I'll have a little while, hoping that they won't be already sold out...

It seems that  Miss Luck is with us : I just realized that I had copied the pictures in a folder on my computer, so, here are some of them...

I don't know if they are all there and I haven't had time to mention the titles for each of them, sorry.

Repost of the two interviews I linked before the forum went down.

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/article/Post-Script/287867295.html

https://afspot.net/forum/topic/748028-mingpao-interview-john-chiangs-60-years-in-the-acting-industry-forefather-of-the-chok-look/

Both interviews are really good. The second one I like especially because it really gets into his personal life. Unfortunately the second interview has terrible formatting and lots of the images don't work any more. Anyway, absolutely love David Chiang! My absolute favourite Shaw Brothers actor that unfortunately gets overlooked because he teamed up so often with Ti Lung who's just as amazing, but for whatever reason much more popular.

Big thanks to @ShawAngela for restarting this thread, and to her and @DragonClaws for posting the wonderful photos, and to @Writ for the interview links.

Really? Oh wow, you are in for a treat. It's fantastic. One of my favorite David Chiang performances.

I highly recommend German distributor TVP's Blu-ray/DVD mediabook release, as it's the most uncut version available, and comes with both original audio and English subs, and the English dub.

Has anyone ever seen Chiang topless?

He appeared topless at the end of Blood Brothers (1973) when he was being executed.  Unfortunately, the camera pulled away quickly and the picture turned blurry.

" Our " great David Chiang is still very active !!

This year, he appears in three TVB series :

My ages apart

The birth of a hero

A general, a scholar an a eunuch

I would need 72h per day to finally watch all of his works !!

No problem, I found that interview when I was doing a search for some dubbing information.
