Malcolm D. Lee (Spike's cousin and director of The Best Man Holiday) takes over directing duties from Tim Story. Cube is joined by returning cast members Eve, Sean Patrick Thomas, Anthony Anderson, Troy Garrity, and Cedric the Entertainer in his breakout role of Eddie, the "old man". New to the cast are Common, JB Smooth, Regina Hall, Tyga, and Nicki Minaj.In this installment, the barbershop has gone co-ed and just when things start to go up, the crew learns their streets have befallen under violence and they now must unite to try to stop the violence.
