Most accurate portrayal of Shaolin Temple lore?

Im curious as to what the most accurate portrayal of the lore/history of the Shaolin Temple is in martial arts films. I am sure most if not all have fantastical elements, but at least which are most accurate in the events themselves?

Also, is there a certain material that these would even be judged by? I assume most of this stuff is mostly folklore anyway probably. How much is fiction and non fiction? Are there any good English friendly books on this stuff?

QUESTIONS! Haha.

Meir Shahar's meticulously researched THE SHAOLIN MONASTERY - HISTORY, RELIGION, AND THE CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS is an invaluable ressource and simply the book to read about the temple. It helps you to separate facts from fiction. The temple's own self-published HANDBOOK FOR SHAOLIN TEMPLE TOUR offers useful descriptions of all the main points of interest on the temple grounds and its environs (pagoda forest, Shaolin nunnery, etc), but peddles myths galore in its foreword, written by the Shaolin's controversial abbot Shi Yongxin.
