Anybody surprised no one tries to do a tv series (animated or live action) inspired by the Shaw movies?

I bet it still has enough pop culture recognition. That RZA movie got released theatrically. There is just so much wacky fun stuff to be inspired by. It would annoy me if they would steal scenes and sequences, but i would not mind some ''inspiration''.

 Live Action for me please. 

Hopefully the upcoming  AMC martial arts fantasy series will perhaps spark an interest. 

 

I could definitely see Five Venoms as a limited series, especially with the somewhat superheroic undercurrent.  Avenging Eagle would be another no brainer.

I would love for someone to make a kung fu movie today using nothing but sets inspired by Shaw Brothers. That means no CGI also.
