Full Discussion Vengeance Is A Golden Blade *Spoilers*

Vengeance is a golen blade was an interesting movie even if many fight scenes were pretty slow or bad quality, except a couple of the fights and the last fight was ok. It seems more about the story than the fighting.

I just think Ching Sung could have done better. I know his wife cheated on him at least 2 times but is it really correct to force her to commit suicide? That is pretty screwed up. I think maybe she was genuinely wanting forgiveness but then when she realized he wanted her to drink poison she was thinking "oh hell no!" and any bad behavior just got worse and she realized that it was either him or her at that point. If she refused to drink it, it is obvious he would try and kill her anyway. So she had to poison him back to stay alive.

So then you got this mother who does not even care about her own daughter and plays around while her real husband is gone. Was it because she is a slut? Or was it because she knew he could not give her a child so she wanted to get pregnant by someone else? Who knows, but she was wrong.

Ching Sung was definatly wrong to try and force her to kill herself. He seems to have quite a temper as well and an unforgiving attitude. All he had to do was divorce her publicly and leave. Maybe it would tarnish his rep, but is his reputation worth killing over? Just divorce her and let her go.

Also not to tell his own daughter the truth about her mother and father was a problem that made things worse. he could have avoided all of that hardship his adopted daughter gave him. Also, why did he not teach her street smarts? How could she be an adult and not know what the hell a brothel is and actually not think she is in one? Her mom is pretty evil to want her to work in one after knowing it is her biological daughter. And not telling the evil Lung bad guy about him being the real father was stupid as well. He could have ended up sleeping with her for real and that is totally sick. He was evil to want to hill his own daughter as well later.

I just think to have a better family people need to be honest. It was a sad and dysfunctional family and everyone behaved wrongly in different ways.

Also the golden dragon sword was so badass. The way it shined in people's faces was so cool. It was kind of disappointing that the "better sword" did not have any flash to it and was made out of regular steel. Another thing, in reality there is no way a soft metal like gold could cut through other metals so easy. It would bend the sword.

The 2nd dragn blade did have a cooler shape with the little curved section on the back. Now imagine if they kept the gold sword at the end and had 2!!! The daughter could have one and her new young husband could have the other. The DRAGON BLADE COUPLE!!! Could have made a sequel!

The fire scene was pretty cool effects for a movie made in 1969 as well.
