I guess that' s parasol on the right side but it really looks like a giant mushroom! And I don't remember to have seen TI Lung with this haircut in a movie...

Member AlexanderFu Posted May 14, 2022 Member Share Posted May 14, 2022 I love this guy, all of them. We are spoiled to have so many great actors on film from an age long passed. As an American, I know more Taiwan and Honk Kong actors than I know from Hollywood over here, and the acting quality Is as good as or better than the best the West has to offer. Taiwan is very under rated I think. Shaw was great but so many awesome names never even made a Shaw film, or at least a significant role in one. Wang Tao never made a Shaw movie, did he? or Wang Kuan Hsiung? Tien Ho? Amazing just how much talent was around in the late 60's and the 70's/early 80's. It reminds me of Britain in the late 60's with The Beatles, Stones, Thee Who, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple.....etc It's a long list in a short time for both of those arts of music and movie. 3

He played in some TV series, but I don't know the years. From what I remember : The righteous guards, with Chin Siu Ho and Cynthia Khan The legend of the magic mirror (or something like that), with Norman Tsui, if I'm not mistaken. And still if I'm not mistaken, this series must be from the 2000. Ching Lung, a Taiwanese series in Hokkien language, in which he only appears at the first episode. The whole series was available on the Formosa youtube channel a while ago, I don't know if it's still available. It looked great. Jiu JI Restaurant, telling the story of a restaurant owner who is threatened by the triads, or something like that. Maybe there are other ones that I'm not aware of. 3

Always wondered about the device he is holding. During a boring phone con I did some googling and now think I found out what device TL is holding in the middle pic. It is the Quote amazing Flying Batcopter made in 1977 for the Mego Comic Action Heroes line, it really works and you run the risk of losing your Batman on a roof or in a tree. Member PandaPawPaw Posted August 20, 2023 Member Share Posted August 20, 2023 I have always liked Ti Lung in ABT as his on screen friendship with Chow Yun-Fat comes across as genuine and not just acting which makes there scenes even better and more powerful.
