Member Jadedragon61 Posted February 25, 2012 Member Share Posted February 25, 2012 One of those films you hear of and yet never see a copy of ... Anyway, finally got one - and not too bad! Interesting to see most of the key "Shaw boys" in a kind of modern thing. Worth watching, if for no other reason than it's a different from the usual Zhang Che and crew deal. SMK
I guess the lack of a period setting is the main reason I haven't seen this one yet, but the fact that the film features so many of the SB veterans, should be reason enough to check it out. I will make sure to give it a spin over the weekend.
Member dadadove Posted February 26, 2012 Member Share Posted February 26, 2012 I also recently saw this for the first time and though not essential, it was great to see the stars in slightly different settings. It's hard to watch a Shaw Brothers and not find more about it to like than dislike!

Member Jadedragon61 Posted February 26, 2012 Author Member Share Posted February 26, 2012 Yeah, I was in the same boat (!) with you guys - never made an effort to see this, but it was really ok. Indeed, it is hard to make a film with so many Shaw stars and not have it come out at least decent.
