SMK Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 For your consideration is: Vintage and Rare 1968 Personal Signed check of Legendary Martial Artist and International Film Star, BRUCE LEE, matted and framed with a vintage rare color photo from his Hollywood masterpiece, "ENTER THE DRAGON". This is one of the finest BRUCE LEE signatures I have ever seen! It is signed in blue ink, large, and without correction. After Linda Lee's Superior Auction Galleries Auction in 1993, Mike Gutierrez, then affiliated with Superior, had a handful of these signed checks that were being sold "outside" of the auction. Superior did not want to risk offering too many checks and dilute the value of those offered at auction. A good and longtime friend of mine (whose name will not be revealed to protect his privacy), was a consultant to the auction and met with Gutierrez to get his pick of several of the signed checks. So....he got 'pick of the litter', so to speak. This is the check he snagged for me. You will not find a better representation of Lee's famous signature anywhere!
