Best known for his inventive choreography seen in movies like Shaolin vs. Lama and The Leg Fighters. In The Leg Fighters, he not only choreographs, but also plays the main villain (and also plays the villain's brother). He does some wild acrobatics, and uses a ground kicking style that is a highlight of the kung fu movie genre. This style is taken from Chinese wrestling. Peng Kong must have been a fan of wrestling, because wrestling style fights shows up in other movies he choreographed, like A Life of Ninja and A Wily Match. He also does the choreography, and plays the main villain in The Woman Avenger, a fantastic movie.

Here’s some more info on him from Toby Russell- “Pang Gang is a bit of a Gangster he and his brother run a Gigalo agency in Shanghai now, they do many business with girls and sex stuff, they used to make porno films too, but not act in them. He has 2 brothers they are both in kung fu films one is the skinny Abbot in Shaolin vs Lama who teaches Alex Lo the Buddha finger. His other Brother is the long time boyfriend of Chang Ling aka Pearl Cheung, they were all at the Peking Opera school together, none of them work in movies anymore, Pang Gang was a good mate of Jackie Chan before and doubled him in Dragon fist. They fell out after Jackie gave a part he promised to Pang Gang to Chan Hui Man in Dragon Lord.”

And a bit more info from hkmdb.com- "From the age of 8 Peng Kong studied Peking Opera, and upon completion he entered the movie-industry in Taiwan. When he was in the cast as one of the spearmen in "Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin" he catched Jackie Chan's eye and was subsequently recast in Jackie’s next features. As time went on he got renowned for his daring stunts and skillful choreography."

Again, great post on a face-without-a-background.

I'll look him up if I happen to be in Shanghai... just to discuss kung fu, of course :angel

I'll definitely look him up if I'm ever in Shanghai, to discuss kung fu, and his gigalo services. After seeing Loverboy with Patrick Dempsey, I think it would be a fun job :happy

Loverboy, was that the one where he was delivering pizzas? HAHA

Peng Kong, a face I remember seeing in so many films, but never really followed him and his career in the movies, or really even knew his name. Thanks for another very informative post Morgoth.

Good stuff, Morgoth. I've always wondered who your avatar shows on kfc, and now I know! I've seen a good few of the films in his filmography, so I must have seen him before. I'm pretty sure I remember him in Mar's Villa. I'll keep more of an eye out in future!

Morgoth, me too, I have often wondered who the man in the picture was that you sometimes used as an avatar, now we know!

What a bio, that is very interesting stuff about being a male, ahem, escort.

:coveredlaugh

I have The Guy With The Secret Kung Fu, and I am going to watch it again and pay more attention to spot him.

Thanks for the great information and the video clips.
