Two episodes into season 3 and I think it’s started really well. A number of interwoven plot lines and some great fight scenes. It really sets things off with a bang. Loved seeing Mark Dacascos fighting alongside Joe Taslim.

Since this is on MAX and not on Cinemax, I feel like they’ve toned down the nudity. But I also feel like they’ve upped the more graphic violence. That’s a balance I can accept. Though no more naked Olivia Cheng or Dianne Doan is mildly disappointing.

I'm done with the last two episodes, altogether great progression in terms of story featuring great acting from everyone. And of course, great action. Andrew Koji, Jason Tobin, Joe Taslim stands out, and so does Mark Dacascos in his first fight scene so far fighting alongside the former mentioned in one scene.

Speaking on nudity (I'm disappointed too that we don't get more of Dianne Doan), I was caught off guard when

Spoiler

they touched on the subject of homosexuality through Hong's sudden interest in -- and a gay sex scene too -- the male singer.

I bet they got more interesting subject matters to showcase in the show later on but I was just surprised they went in length to do such a thing.

Not really a surprise tbh. Since this was already obvious and if I remember correctly touched up on in the last season. At least we got to see some man ass lol.

I actually appreciate they’re learning more toward‘s Hong’s sexuality since him being gay felt like such a throwaway plot point in season 2. It was like they were just giving us the “obligatory gay dude” and then moving on. He deserves to be explored a little more.

Fun fact: the leader of the gang Joe Taslim and Mark Dacascos team up against is Brett Chan, the show’s long time fight coordinator.

I agree! I'm actually intrigued by his character as well. Only problem I have is his weapon (rope dart) of choice. I can't wrap my head around that this could be used effectively in a fight. Especially in all those group brawls between the tongs. But that might just be me...

Raison's cleavage was well acted in ep2.

Well the 4th episode didn't really do much. Not that it's particularly bad or anything but over all very meh!

Funny to see how Mai Ling's ambition finally blows up in her face. Also what the F is up with all the boobless sex scenes :laluot_11:

Perhaps Max is trying to be classier than the infamous “Skinemax.” Although that doesn’t make sense since shows like Euphoria are absolutely filthy.

Or what about that lame ass Weeknd show with him basically playing as himself, (a narcissist) that's filled with borderline pornographic content? It's funny how that got cancelled so quick because of how graphic it was and his behavior behind the scenes🤣🤣

It’s on my “to watch” list, mostly to see just how bad it is. And partly to see Lily Rose Depp diddle herself. What can I say? I’m a classy gent.

Episode three was OK. I do hope Mark Dacascos does a bit of fighting.

Also I'm liking the possible turn by Ah Sahm and him leaving the group. I'm sure Young Jun won't be happy. Stabby, Stabby!:D

Rai-Cheng are absolutely wasted in this! There should be at least 10 sex scenes with them in each episode. Obviously because it'd help the story and not just for boobies..............

If I didn't know any better I'd almost suspect that the next episode title must have come from one of our trusted members. You know who you are 😜

'Whiskey and Sticky and All the Rest Can Wait'

As a side note the last episode had a different director. That's rarely something out of the ordinary. However always interesting to see the subtle differences.

I for one also thought that the fight choreography was utterly weak in episode 4. I mean that dark alley way fight was pretty much wasted by the lack of visibility. I even caught myself several times thinking "he missed that punch by a mile".

Anyway, enough with the nagging. Let's hope the next episode delivers what the title seems to indicate.

Somebody better get some damn sticky...

🤣🤣

On a side note, am I the only one who feels bad for Young Jun? He gets the bricks beaten the heck off of him twice this season. And if he's behind bars, it definitely isn't the end. The preview for Episode 5 really cool. I can't wait to see more of Ah Sahm's fighting. The way they ended his appearance in Episode 4 was really cool.

He had it coming. Guy's been acting like a little bitch for far too long! Surprised Ah Sahm didn't already beat his whiny ass.

That's for sure. He's not a very bright leader either being so headstrong. He scraps with his own tong, collects security like a pawn, and even challenges authority with no thought of repercussion. I'm shocked his character lasted longer than Bolo lol

Episode 4 didn't have as much action (what's there is still great) but the story progressed the way I expected it to be. Intense, dramatic, intriguing. They are just building up things to come later on, and that's fine by me.

Mark already got two fight scenes so far: The fight scene where he and Joe Taslim team up against the rival Tong leader, and the sparring session between the two in Episode 4. Mark will most likely end up fighting both Andrew Koji and Jason Tobin later on.

Oh I haven't seen ep 4 yet but glad to hear he has some fights in it.
