I’ve been saying to my wife that something feels “off.” The action in the third season lacks the same energy the first two seasons had. They feel “empty.” I enjoyed the big fight scene in episode 8 but even that felt less invigorating than those that came before it, in the first two seasons. Considering the show has the same action director, I’m wondering it’s a budget thing. Or maybe the new producers made a big change. I have no idea. I find it increasingly frustrating though. I like the choreography a lot but something is surely lacking. If we do get a season 4, I hope they make the necessary changes. Regarding episode 8, it was great. Especially after this weak ass season The fact that it was canceled after the superb second season and struggled to be brought back to life, makes me think they’ll bin it after this rather questionable third season. With that said, it has been MAX’s number one show, so maybe it’ll be renewed. I'm really annoyed by how little Ah Sahm does this season and this romance feels forced for me. Same with Hong. Two characters that spent a total of two seasons of kicking ass... Only to have these dumb romantic scenes overtake their presence on the show. For crying out loud, somehow we have the Mayor who does more than these two characters and he's just getting his socks rocked by some lady who's manipulating him. However let's start with the positive for this weeks episode. We finally get the first REAL fight of the entire season and to my surprise Leary is the one to deliver. And what a fight that was Jesus Christ! If I wouldn't know any better the man has some serious anger issues. Father Jun and Young Jun shared this seasons most emotional scene. Spoiler Very well acted and ultimately satisfying ending. Spoiler Bill is finally back in action. Altough the whole shortcut on how it came to be was less than satisfying but honestly who cares. Now on to the bad. I think finally all the sub plots start to crumble or in other words start to show how pointless some of them are. Lai is another character that just got totally wasted. Spoiler Her fight had good potential but for whatever reason the producers just left it half-baked and even cut her untimely end. Hong is doing god knows what and in stark contrast to Father/Young Jun, deliverd one of the most embarassing performances of this season. Guy gets to finally flex his acting muscles and falls flat on his nose. I couldn't help but laugh on how poorly that entire scene was delivered! Leary blowing up in Strickland's face also seemingly came out of nowhere but at least it gave us this ONE good fight! I don't even wanna mention Ah Sahm tbh. Yeah I get it where they're going with his romance but damn am I tired of it. They guy's been doing literally nothing for the entire 9 epsiodes now. One last thing to all those shills on social media which claimed that the last three episodes will make this season all worth while. FUCK YOU! There I said it. I doubt these people even watched the first two seasons or else they wouldn't be able to spew such BS. One minute it feels like The Warrior I know then it goes all shit and becomes a different show. I really don't like how we're supposed to pretend that Penny doesn't exist anymore and just buy into this romance out of nowhere- all while Ah Sahm does virtually nothing else except kick some Long Zii ass and move a printer down a rainy calle. Joanna Vanderham/Penelope Blake was hawwwwwt! Something seriously changed BTS then as everything got toned down so much!
