Ugh. Getting old. I remember seeing this in theaters. It was a matinee at a theater on the Jersey boardwalk. My girlfriend and I were only two of maybe a half dozen people in there, so we had the place to ourselves. This was still one of the older theaters with a balcony and wide rows and it was an enjoyable experience.

I rewatched the film a few months back but it just didn't have the same appeal.

Good things imo :

-Zorin (one of the best villains imo)

-May Day (I like that she's different than the usual formula girl)

-Mortner (Willoughby had good chemistry with Walken)

-fire at SF City Hall (fun moment when the wino drops his bottle , lol)

-Golden Gate fight (imo one of the best endings for a Bond)

-Eiffel Tower jump (also iconic)

-horse fight scene is decent

-airships (unusual mode of transportation)

I still think it's more enjoyable than the Brosnan Bonds (okay , Goldeneye gets a pass)

Yeah, I know this one often gets trashed by Bond fans--maybe it is partly nostalgia for me, but I find this one very enjoyable. Great theme song, and the things that Coliseum 1972 listed.
