Member AlbertV Posted April 26, 2015 Member Share Posted April 26, 2015 Has anyone seen the 2005 war biopic JARHEAD with Jake Gyllenhaal as real-life Marine sniper Anthony Swofford and the challenges he faced during training with the Marines to become a top-notch sniper during Operation Desert Storm. The term is a slang term that refers to the Marines. Well, last year, an in-name sequel was released as one could guess, to capitalize on military action films like the BEHIND ENEMY LINES films. JARHEAD: FIELD OF FIRE revolves around a team of Marines who must extract an education activist from the Taliban. Cole Hauser and Bokeem Woodbine star in the sequel, which I believe is on Netflix. I'm bringing this up because the third film of the series has just wrapped up filming. Entitled JARHEAD: THE SIEGE, the film stars Charlie Weber and Scott Adkins as part of a Marine unit who must protect a U.S. embassy in the Middle East when a sudden attack occurs.
