Member paimeifist Posted March 30, 2015 Member Share Posted March 30, 2015 I recently got the "volume 1" DVD for this at a used bookstore, and after watching the first 5 episodes, I am loving it! It is great all around to the point where no specific aspect is worth noting. The acting, cinematography/locations, stories, and swordplay is all great. I plan to get the rest that is available on DVD and check it out. It seems to be more readily available than the movie series (which I also really want I see.) Obviousy I haven't seen the movies, so I can't draw a comparison(except Shoguns Assassin). I've read the first few mangas, and the story of the show is pretty close to that of the manga, mainly changing things to make it more acceptable for TV. Any changes I have noticed didn't hurt te story at all IMO. It is cool to compare the few scenes that the show shares so far with the same scenes in Shoguns Assassin, so I can imagine having seen the actual LW&C flicks!
