Tom Savini & Umberto Lenzi's 'Nightmare City' & Astron-6's 'The Void' Crowdfunding!

For those that like their horror, there are a couple of crowdfunding initiatives running at the moment which are well worth a look.

First up is special effects legend Tom Savini's re-make of Umberto Lenzi's 1980's zombie classic 'Nightmare City'. Savini will be directing as well as taking the role of Special Effects and Make Up Supervisor, with Lenzi taking on the role of associate producer.

Second up is 'The Void', a throwback horror movie from the writer/director team of Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie, best known for their work as part of the Astron-6 collective which made 'Manborg' and 'Father's Day'.

Both look like their going to be gore drenched CGI-free throwbacks to the horror genre of old, so personally I can't wait. Here's hoping the final product delivers!
