The storyline is based on the true life of Anatoly Kharlampiev, one of Sambo's founders. Watching it should expand our horizon: another culture, another approach to featuring martial arts offered. Unfortunately, the movie has neither dubbing nor subtitle, but the plot is not very hard to guess. The protagonist arrived at some Siberian tribe, asking to be instructed in their traditional fighting art, excelling at it and provoking the envy/suspicion of local practitioners.
