Member blue_skies Posted July 16, 2011 Member Share Posted July 16, 2011 Well that's partly because the discs can have the same brand name but be made in different countries and have different quality. Even "Verbatim" can be dodgy if your discs turn out to be made in a certain asian country. You have to put the disc in your computer and find out the code/date/location it was made, somehow. I'm no expert, I just know that the brand name isn't always the thing to go for. It's where those particular batch were made. can anyone expand on this? Member Phoenix Posted July 17, 2011 Member Share Posted July 17, 2011 can anyone expand on this? There are disc ID apps, Nero does one I think, that tell you the manufacture date and location and other information. Basically, the make of the disc isn't a guarantee of quality.
