Member DiP Posted August 7, 2014 Member Share Posted August 7, 2014 This will mark the return of veteran Hong Kong comedian Michael Hui in directing who hasn't worked on a film in more than 20 years. Besides helming the film he will also be writing this upcoming comedy tentatively titled Da Fu --- literal English translation is Beating Tiger --- which is being produced by Philip Chan's new film company, and featuring Jeana Ho Pui-Yu and Kara Hui in the cast. Hui hopes to have either Takeshi Kaneshiro, Lau Ching-Wan, Louis Koo, or Huang Bo as the leading actor for this project. Regardless, great cast! And awesome to see Hui returning to the big screen! Louis Koo might as well be in every HK movie by default!
Member DiP Posted August 8, 2014 Author Member Share Posted August 8, 2014 I'm certain it will be a straight comedy, just like all his other directorial films.
