Manimal Coming to the Big Screen

The Wrap announced that the short lived 1980's cult series MANIMAL is going to be made into a movie.

Of course, there will be a comedic element alongside the action and of course, the transformation scenes will be CGI because Sony Pictures Animation will be heading up the CGI effects. Producing will be Adam McKay and Will Ferrell with a director currently being searched.

Will Will Ferrell be playing Dr. Jonathan Chase, the millionaire playboy who has the ability to turn into various animals and help the LAPD? Don't know. The late Simon MacCorkindale played Chase in the 1983 series. He passed away from cancer in 2010 at the age of 58 and the SFX of the original series was done by one Stan Winston.
