Because it's not so bad as some people make it out to be. The miss-marketing of the movie (we all expected it to be another SPL and Flash Point after seeing the trailers) is mainly to blame on. I was disappointed too the first time I watched it but it has since grown on me. I often compare and see this as a modern take on Tiger Cage 2, due to their blend of top-notch action and comedic flair/charm. I agree with Iceman, Painted Skin and Sword of Destiny deserving to be mentioned among Donnie's worst but I quite liked Satan Returns. The Holy Virgin vs the Evil Dead is tons of fun if you can overlook the cheesy plotline and enjoy for what it is. It also has some of Donnie's best action scenes ever. So I was spared the really bad stuff) , but of the ones I can remember: Yip Man 4- Wasn't just garbage, it was disappointing garbage. They should have stopped at 3. Shanghai Knights- Wasn't exactly a terrible movie (It didn't come close to the charm of the first movie), but Donnie Yen was so underused in it. And the final fight between him and Jackie was boring. Maybe they should have tried to get Tony Wong Yuk Long to write story for film. Legend of the Fist is equally bad. Perhaps most unexciting dojo fight ever seen. I haven`t seen many his movies maybe 8 more not mentioning here.. It relies too much on comedy and not in a good way. And this comes from a guy that loves the Yuen Clan’s zanier movies.
